Raising Funds to Raise Spirits
Representation near and far
Our first official event took place in Greensboro, North Carolina. Organized by Josh’s Aunts, the Cyclebar location helped raise money, hosted a vendor fair, and we raffled off a Lego Transformer’s Bumblebee. We gave out stickers and were overwhelmed by the support of strangers. We were honestly a little uneasy as we’d never done anything like this before. But the kindness and warmth of others quickly subdued any nerves.
All funds go directly to support our mission to spread kindness, support, and Josh’s love of technology in our community and beyond.

Drive for Kindness
Cars shows and cruises
Anyone who knew Josh knew his fascination and interest with a range of specific, offbeat topics. Japan’s bullet train, the Concorde aircraft, and cars. If it had wheels, Josh was all about it. Most of all, old Volkswagens
We teamed up with European Cars of Williamsburg for our second big event. A classic European car show he’d attend every year, we used it to kick off our holiday collection drive. There was another raffle, stickers, kind conversations and some tears. But the warmth of this community and the donations received reminded us how impactful one little boy’s kindness can have.
One of our goals with Josh’s Memorial Service was for it to be as happy as possible. Trying to capture his lighting in a bottle present it in a way for everyone to say one last goodbye. A memory table of his favorite things. Finger foods he’d enjoy. Music he loved. Videos he’d made. All things we had ready access to.
But the cars he loved, that was more difficult. Or so we thought. After reaching out to the community a local Vintage VW Club contacted us and essentially said, don’t worry we got it covered, just tell us the time and the place. This relationship has only grown over the years. This past January on the anniversary of his memorial there was a car show and cruise in Josh’s honor, orgrnized by the club, with a goal of making it an annual affair.
